Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Mary Greig, 73, were held at the Chapman funeral home in Clarence April 5, with the Rev. E. G. Steinman in charge. Burial was in the Clarence cemetery.

Pallbearers were George Ruprecht, Kermit Roelf, Lavern Kintzel, Grover Penningroth, Harry Decker and Harry Hansen. Mrs. Anna Budelier, Mrs. Lavern Kintzel and Mrs. Kermit Roelf were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Greig died at 9 a.m. April 3 at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids after a short illness. She had been in the hospital for 11 days.

The daughter of Jerome C. and Mary A. Denny Crow, she was born Feb. 21, 1891 at Watertown, S.D. She had lived in the Clarence community for 56 years.

She was married to John W. Greig Dec. 20, 1910 at Clarence. They farmed for many years near Clarence. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by a son, Durwood, a sister, Olive Crow, Des Moines, 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1962.
