Mechanicsville - Mrs. Virgil Pennington, 56, Springville, died in Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids, Sunday, where she had been a patient for almost a year. The Penningtons are former residents of this community.

Funeral services were held in St. Mary's Catholic church, Solon, Wednesday, April 8 at 10 a.m., with burial in the Solon cemetery. Brosh Funeral home was in charge.

Mrs. Margaret Pennington is survived by her husband; a son, Wayne Schorr, Iowa City; and two daughters at home.

Also surviving are two brothers, Albert and Frank Zenishek, Mechanicsville; and three sisters, Antoinette Dauber, Stanwood; Mrs. Marie Hass, Marion; and Anne Zenishek, Iowa City.
