Mechanicsville - Inez Michael Kettering, 77, died in her home Thursday evening, Jan. 30. Her health had been failing for the past few months. Pastor George Gallaher conducted funeral services for her at the Horner Funeral home Saturday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m.

Inez Michael was born at Cowgill, Mo., March 6, 1886 the daughter of John and Elizabeth Michael. She lived in Missouri until her marriage to Louis Kettering, March 4, 1908. They lived in South Dakota and California until 1950 when they established their home in Mechanicsville.

Mrs. Kettering was a member of the Mechanicsville Presbyterian church, a devoted wife and a lover of flowers.

She is survived by her husband, four sisters, Mrs. C. R. Basham, Clay Coma, Mo.; Mrs. S. K. Vantrump, Blue Springs, N.D.; Mrs. R. L. Hatfield, Cowgill, Mo.; and Mrs. Nellie Kettering. Also one brother, Harry Michael, Ft. Bragg, Calif., survives. Also surviving are a host of nephews, nieces and cousins, one of whom is Michael Clark, a nephew, made his home for many years with the Ketterings.

Pallbearers were Claude Ferguson, David Edwards, Harold Streets, Ira Mohn, Lewis Aaron and R. E. Seehusen.

Burial was in the Lisbon cemetery with Horner Funeral home in charge of the arrangements.
