Mechanicsville - Frank Johnson, a longtime resident of the Mechanicsville community, died in the University Hospital, Iowa City, Wednesday afternoon.
Services will be held in the Morgan Funeral Home, Lisbon, Saturday at 2 p.m. with burial in the Mechanicsville Rose Hill cemetery.
Frank Cleveland Johnson was born Sept. 9, 1887 in Cedar County the son of Albert Johnson and Mary Lucinda Wilson. He lived in the Mechanicsville community all his life.
He was married to Myrtle May Boyd in Cedar Rapids on Nov. 10, 1910 and they were the parents of 10 children. Lee, Cedar Rapids; Willard, Mechanicsville; Dr. E. O. Johnson, Kahoka, Mo.; Mrs. Louis Rudd, Central City; Leonard, Brainerd, Minn.; Mrs. Doris Niles, Wilton Jct.; John, Lisbon; Mrs. Mary Lou Scafer, Robins, Iowa, Cecil and Milo.
Survivors include his wife, 8 children, a brother, W. T. Johnson, West Liberty, sisters, Mrs. Alice Nicholaysen and Mrs. Carrie Griener, Cedar Rapids.
Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sons, Cecil and Milo, his parents, and a brother, Samuel.
Services will be conducted by Pastor George Gallaher, Presbyterian minister.
