Clarence - Funeral services for Otto Kahl, 79, a life-long resident of Clarence, were held in St. John's United Church of Christ today (Thursday) at 10:30 a.m. Mr. Kahl died Monday evening.

Rev. Arthur Tinge, Lowden, officiated at the service with the Chapman Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

The mixed choir sang, accompanied by Antoinette Rix, organist. Mrs. William Gehrl and Mrs. Merle Bentrott were in charge of flowers.

Otto Kahl was born the son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. (Caroline Sasse) Kahl. He was married to Bertha Horn in Clarence. Mr. Kahl was a retired farmer and a member of St. John's church.

He is survived by two sons, John and Arnold; a grandson, Richard; two great grandsons and a sister, Mrs. Paul Mensing, Lowden.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers and a sister.

Pallbearers were Marvin Horn, J. C. Dettmann, Wilmer Gehrls, William Von Muenster, Lawrence Kline and Wilbur Debner.
