Stanwood -- Funeral services for Mrs. Christian Haupt were held Dec. 29, at 1:30 p.m. in the United Presbyterian Church, Stanwood, with the Reverend James Elvig in charge.

Mrs. Haupt died Saturday night in St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, where she has been a patient the past three weeks.

Estelle Irene Haupt, the daughter of Dr. C. W. and Estelle Davidson Baker, was born at Palo, on July 25, 1888. She came to Stanwood as a young girl and lived the greater portion of her life here.

On November 9, 1957, she was married to Reverend Christian Haupt in Cedar Rapids. They made their home in Rinebeck. Following his death, Mrs. Haupt returned to Stanwood to live.

Mrs. Haupt is survived by three stepsons and a stepdaughter, namely: Dr. John Haupt, Topeka, Kans.; Prof. Robert Haupt, Ames; Rev. Henry Haupt, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Mrs. Victor Mochnik, Morrison; and by a nephew, Edwin B. Davidson, Stanwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a sister, Mrs. Florence Davidson.

Pallbearers were James Smith, Arch Davidson, Don Smith, Francis Brown, Paul Hegarty and Robert Davidson. Burial in Stanwood cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home in charge.
