Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Schlueter, 83, were held Aug. 31 in Zion United Church of Christ at Lowden with the Rev. Arthur Tinge officiating. Pallbearers were Elwood Bunge, Walter Mess, Lyle Raiber, Vernon Bright, Harold Toerber and Myron Schneider.

Mrs. Floyd Hansen and Mrs. Walter Brendes sang, with Virginia Meyer at the organ. Mrs. Vernon Bright and Mrs. Lyle Raiber were in charge of flowers. Burial was in the Massillon cemetery.

Mrs. Schlueter died Aug. 28 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marvin Bright, in Massillon.

The daughter of Louis and Wilhemina Weitzel Harmel, she was born Oct. 5, 1880 north of Clarence. She attended the Clarence rural schools and was married to Louis F. Schlueter Oct. 14, 1908. They farmed in the Lowden and Massillon vicinities until 1918 when they moved to Massillon. Mr. Schlueter died in 1943.
