Stanwood - Graveside services for Charles A. Strauser, 53, Atkins, were held Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 3 p.m. in the Stanwood cemetery.

Mr. Strauser died Saturday following a brief illness.

He was born Feb. 21, 1911 at Beuford, Mo. and married Maryl Gibson, Stanwood, in Anamosa, May 24, 1942.

Mr. Strauser is survived by his wife; a son, Charles, with the U.S. Air Force, Denver, Colo.; and step-son, Rex Meek, Cedar Rapids; his mother, Mrs. Isabelle Strauser, Des Moines; three sisters, two brothers and three grandchildren.
