Louisa Alice Rogers was born in London, England, May 5, 1881, the daughter of Louisa and William Hobbs. She was the oldest of a family of eleven children.

She was married at the age of 24 to Ernest T. Rogers at Walthanston, England. She came to this country in 1907 with her husband and baby daughter, and settled in Tipton where she lived the rest of her life. To this union five children were born. She passed away Monday morning, Oct. 15, 1951, at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 10 days.

Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Mrs. Eva Hajik and Mrs. Hilda Garrison, both of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. A. Louisa Madsen, of West Branch, Iowa, two sons, Fred and Alfred of Tipton, nine grandchildren, three sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Oct. 18, 1951, at the Sheets funeral home with Rev. Leo G. Wolfe officiating, and interment in Tipton Masonic cemetery.
