Funeral services for Augusta Penningroth, 91, Lowden, were held at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 4 at Zion United Church of Christ, Lowden, the Rev. Paul Jordan officiating. Burial was in the Lowden cemetery.

Pallbearers were Orlando Steffens, Wilbur Pingle, Otis Geadelmann, Marvin Goldsmith and Richard Penningroth. Music was provided by Mrs. Paul Jordan, vocalist and Mrs. Leroy Boettger, organist. Chapman Funeral Homes, Inc. were in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Penningroth died Aug. 1 at the Clarence Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 12, 1884 at Lowden, the daughter of Carl and Ann Heuser Eggert. She married Frederick Penningroth June 25, 1905 at Lowden. He preceded her in death.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Dale (Iola) Johnson, West Liberty, and 2 sons, Grover, Clarence, and Ralph, San Diego, Calif.; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, 3 grandsons, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
