Funeral services for Anne E. Nieting, 90, Lowden, were held at 11 a.m. July 5, 1989 at Trinity Lutheran church, Lowden, with the Rev. Gary Ruckman officiating. Amil Licht was the organist and the Trinity men's choir sang. Pallbearers were Steve Bowstead, Everett Kruckenberg, Delbert Kruckenberg, Don Meier, Don Lange and Larry Stolte. Burial was in Trinity Lutheran cemetery.

Anne Nieting died July 2 at the Jackson County hospital, Maquoketa.

The daughter of August and Wilhelmina Hinrichs Nieting, she was born Aug. 11, 1898 at Lowden. She attended college 2 years at Cedar Falls and was a former teacher. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.

She is survived by a sister, Clara, Rock Island, Ill.; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
