Final rites for Homer V. Park, 76, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home Aug. 7 with the Rev. E. H. Lauer officiating. Pallbearers were Gaylord Goodale, Wayne Hodgden, Raymond Knouse, Leonard Voss, John Achey and Wilson Howe.

Mr. and Mrs. William Brinkman and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gerber were in charge of flowers. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery where the Tipton American Legion post presented the flag.

Mr. Park died at his home Aug. 5 after an illness of several weeks.

The son of John B. and Emma Shank Park, he was born Sept. 22, 1888, in Mechanicsville and attended the rural Cedar county schools. He was married to Ethel L. Baker in Davenport April 16, 1939.

He farmed in Cedar county and was a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Shirley, Tipton; a granddaughter, 2 brothers, Roy, Mechanicsville and Archie, New Braunfels, Texas.
