Mrs. Louis (Lydia) Toerber 1889-1965

Funeral services were held May 4 in Oxford Junction, for Mrs. Louis Toerber, 76, a longtime resident of the Massillon area. The Rev. Raymon Booth of the Assembly of God church officiated. Burial was in the Massillon cemetery.

Mrs. Toerber died May 2 at the nursing home in Oxford Junction, where she had been a patient since last fall.

Lydia Albert was born Feb. 15, 1889, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Albert of Clarence. She was married to Louis Toerber Jan. 14, 1914. They farmed in the Clarence area before moving to a farm east of Massillon where they resided until last year when, due to ill health, they entered the nursing home. Mr. Toerber died the latter part of March.

Mrs. Toerber was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ at Clarence.

Survivors are a son, Burnell, of Oxford Junction; 4 grandsons, and a brother Frank of Clarence. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Mearl.
