Former Resident Buried in Canada

Clarence - Funeral services were held from Knox United Church, Roblin, Manitoba, Canada, April 29 for Emma Almeda Britcher, who passed away at her home following a long illness. The service was conducted by Rev. Earl Dixon with music furnished by the church choir.

Emma Almeda Miller was born in Holmes county Ohio, August 1, 1878 and came to Iowa with her parents while a small girl. She married Frederick Elmer Britcher, Sept. 14, 1899 at Clarence, where they lived until moving to Michigan and later to Canada in 1926.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lucie Bixler, Clarence; brothers, Guy, Butte, Mont., James, Long Beach, Calif., and John, Amana; a daughter, Mrs. Genevieve Engle, Detroit, Mich., sons, Albert and Roland, Bield, Canada; 3 granddaughters and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1953, a sister and 2 brothers, one of the latter the late Frank Miller of Clarence.

Interment was in the Roblin District Cemetery.
