Mechanicsville - Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the Horner Funeral Home for Jesse Lytton Helm, 80.

Mr. Helm died in Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids, March 17, following an illness of several months.

Rev. George Gallaher conducted the services and Mrs. Floyd Siver was vocalist accompanied by Mrs. E. H. Littig, organist.

Jesse Lytton Helm was born August 13, 1884 in Council Bluffs the son of Ezra A. and Amelia Emily Rate Helm. He received his education in Washington High school, Cedar Rapids.

Mr. Helm was married to Anna Higginson who died May 25, 1934. He married Emma Dorman, Mechanicsville on Sept. 5, 1942.

He was a member of the Unitarian Church. Helm has lived in Cedar Rapids, Chicago, Ill., Nashville, Tenn.; and for the past two years in Mechanicsville. He was a sales representative of Bowes Seal-Fast Products Co. during the late 20's and the 30's.

Mr. Helm is survived by his wife, Emma Dorman Helm, a sister, Miss Eda B. Helm; four daughters, Mrs. Donald (Eloise) McLaughlin, Mechanicsville, Mrs. Walter (Phyllis) Thiel, Oak Park, Ill.; Mrs. Louis (Virginia) James, Las Vegas, Nev. and Mrs. William (Elaine) Elliker, Castro Valley, Calif.

Also three sons, William, Mechanicsville; Howard, Cedar Rapids; Glenn, Chicago, Ill.; and 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Niles Helm, in November of 1957.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Walter Ruscik, Oak Park, Ill.; Robert Hall, Oak Park, Ill.; Ronald Kline, Broadview, Ill.; Robert Helm, Rochester; Duane Whiting, Mechanicsville and Gerald Fitzgibbons, Cedar Rapids.

Internment was in Cedar Memorial Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

All the living children of Mr. Helm were able to attend his funeral.

Also attending were grandchildren and great grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ruscik and Phyllis of Oak Park, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Kline and Rickie and Bruce of Broadview, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hall and Cheryl and Wendy of Oak Park, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Fitzgibbons and Keith of Cedar Rapids, Robert Helm of Rochester, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Duane Whiting and Darrel, Deborah and Dennis of Mechanicsville.

Mrs. Ethel Hamilton of Sigourney, Iowa, mother of the late Mrs. William Helm, also spent the past week end with the Helm family.
