Clarence - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Morehead, 78, were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Methodist church with Rev. Richard Keim officiating.

Helen Decker was the soloist and Mrs. Howard Folk, organist. Burial was in the Clarence Cemetery with Chapman funeral home in charge.

The former Mary Moorhead was born Jan. 8, 1887, near Springdale, Iowa. She married Clarence Morehead March 22, 1904. He preceded her in death.

Pallbearers were Karl Krafock, Herb Goldsmith, Dale Sheldon, Melvin Clemmens, John Stock and Melvin Riedesil. Neva Collins and Mrs. Melvin Clemmens were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Morehead died Feb. 6 at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids. She was born Jan. 8, 1887 near Springdale, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Worrall Moorhead. She was married to Clarence Eugene Morehead, March 22, 1904.

Mrs. Morehead was a member of the Methodist church, Women's Society of Christian Service, The American Legion Auxiliary and Chapter 461 O. E. S. of which she was a past matron.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister, Jean. Survivors include a son, Kenneth; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Zager; and a brother, Paul Moorhead, all of Clarence.
