Mechanicsville - Burial services were held in the Rose Hill cemetery Sunday afternoon for Mrs. E. V. Miller, 84, a former resident of this community.

Mrs. Miller died in Mercy hospital, Anamosa, Thursday, Dec. 2 following a lingering illness.

Rev. Omar Pettersen officiated at funeral services in the Methodist church, Martelle, at 2 p.m. Sunday. Richard Stanaway played organ music.

Ida M. Miller was born Feb. 27, 1881, the daughter of William R. and Louzetta C. Pieper Robinson at Mechanicsville. She was married to Estel V. Miller on Feb. 7, 1907 in Mechanicsville.

The couple lived in Morley until 1926 when they moved to Martelle. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Martelle Methodist church and an honorary member of the Women's Society for Christian Service.

She is survived by her son, Virgil, of Martelle, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Bershon, Madison, S. D.; Mrs. Erhmal Murfield, Brookings, S. D., and Mrs. George (Bessie) Fisher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1929 and four brothers and three sisters.
