Funeral services for Mrs. Ward McClellan, who died Nov. 19 at Crestview Nursing home, West Branch, following a long illness, were held Nov. 22, at the Methodist Church, Stanwood.

The Rev. James R. Nelson officiated. Chapman's were in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Pallbearers were Henry Ormsby, Don Peterman, Jack Hanks, Ray Ropa, Jim Jones and Clair Flansburg. Honorary pallbearers were Carl Voss, Charles Long, Kenneth Smith and Jack Techau.

In charge of flowers were Mrs. Lawrence Kroemer and Mrs. Fred Luedeman. Mrs. John Swift sang, accompanied by Mrs. Edward Speer. Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery.

Ruth Mae Vittengl was born May 27, 1913 in Cedar county. She was the daughter of John and Daisy Niles Vittengl. She was married to Ward McClellan, 35 years ago.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. William Laing, Tipton; 2 brothers, Ralph Vittengl, Cedar Rapids and Melvin Vittengl, Maquoketa; 3 sisters, Mrs. Burdette Laing, Tipton; Mrs. Luella Burmeister, Iowa City and Mrs. Rosella Moore, Stanwood.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her father and a brother.
