Funeral services for Pauline Mensing, 95, Lowden, were held June 21, 1988 at Trinity Lutheran church, with the Rev. Gary Ruckman officiating. Olga Hoffmeier was the organist and the male choir sang. Pallbearers were Leon Mensing, Victor Mensing, Dick Mensing, Steve Gehrls, Steve Bowstead and William Stout. Burial was in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery.

Mrs. Mensing died June 18 at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home.

The daughter of John and Caroline Sasse Kahl, she was born April 22, 1893 at rural Clarence. She married Paul Mensing Dec. 6, 1916 in Lowden. He died Nov. 21, 1985.

Mrs. Mensing was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of the area. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Merle (Irma) Bentrott, Lowden; 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985, 3 brothers and a sister.
