Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Meyer, 71, Lowden were held at 11 a.m. Oct. 11 at Trinity Lutheran church, the Rev. Earl Elowsky officiating. Burial was in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery.

Music for the service was provided by the Men's Choir and Mrs. Lorenz Hoffmeier, organist. Flower attendants were Mrs. Arnom Meier and Mrs. Everett Kruckenberg. Pallbearers were Leonard Kroemer, Everett Kroemer, Elmer Meyer, Dale Meyer, Donald Kroemer and Fred Sander.

Mrs. Meyer died at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, Oct. 8. Born at Lowden June 11, 1905, she was the daughter of Carl and Dorthea Kruckenberg Kroemer. She married Hugo Meyer Feb. 15, 1925 at Lowden. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Meyer was a member of Trinity church, Trinity Ladies Aid and sewing circle and of the Lowden Senior Citizens.

Survivors are daughters, Mrs. James (Phyllis) Moore, Tipton; Mrs. Dorance (Dorothy) Scheer, Lowden; Mrs. Bob (Carol) Lake, Iowa City; Mrs. William (Arlene) Berntsen, Gary, Ind.; and Mrs. Bill (Janice) Duzan, Atlanta, Ga.; a son, Robert Meyer, Cedar Rapids; 21 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; one step great grandchild; a sister, Gertrude Neiting, Lowden; and a brother, Herbert Kroemer, Lowden.
