Funeral services for Cyrus "Obb" Kemmann, 83, Lowden, were held Tuesday, July 5 at Trinity Lutheran church in Lowden, the Rev. Gary Ruckmann officiating. Burial was in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery.

Mr. Kemmann died July 2 at the Clarence Nursing home.

Pallbearers were Don Meier, Frederick Meier, Arnold Meier, Tom Green, Eugene Kemmann and Royce Kemmann. Olga Hoffmeier was organist and the Trinity men's choir sang.

Mr. Kemmann was born Sept. 21, 1904 at Lowden, the son of Paul and Clara Hoeltje Kemmann. He was a lifelong resident of Lowden, and part owner of Kemmann Chevrolet. He retired in 1983 after 60 years in business.

He married Louise Ernsting at Lowden May 31, 1936. He was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran church, a former Lowden fireman, and a former school board member.

He is survived by his wife; 2 sons, Thomas of Coal Valley, Ill., and David of Lombard, Ill.; 2 brothers, Gerald, Lowden, and Robert, Northridge, Calif.; and 4 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant sister and one brother.
