Parker Jones passed away at his home in Stanwood at the age of 41 years on Friday Sept. 14. He had been in failing health the past month but was expecting to find relief at an Iowa City hospital when death overtook him. Park was born and reared in Stanwood and received his education in the Stanwood schools. He was an electrician by trade and by his honesty and industry had a nice business established. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Bernice Cronkhite Jones, one daughter, Darlene; also two brothers, Dallas of Valparaiso, Ind., Gerald of Stanwood and one sister, Neva, of Cedar Rapids. The funeral services were held in the M.E. church with Rev. Strait officiating. Interment in the Stanwood cemetery.
