Mechanicsville - Funeral services for Robert Zerbe were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Horner Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Schenck, Stanwood, officiating.

Mr. Zerbe died Sunday, Dec. 17 in Veteran's hospital, Iowa City, after being a patient there the previous week.

Ralph Yule, John Sauer, Norman Williams, H. D. Scott, Rudolph McNee and Everett Ferguson were pallbearers. Military rites were performed by Busch-Dennis Post 309, with burial in Rose Hill cemetery.

Robert Milton Zerbe was born the son of Emanual and Emma Barr Zerbe on April 20, 1889 at Pine Grove, Pa. and was educated there. He was married to Mabel A. Longerbeam at Lisbon on Jan. 23, 1924. He was a member of the Lutheran church and a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel; 2 brothers, Joe and Elmer and 2 sisters, Beulah Wagner and Mary Hineback, all of Pennsylvania and 2 grandsons, Alan Dale and William Robert, Mechanicsville.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons, his parents and 7 brothers and sisters.
