Mechanicsville - Funeral services for Harry Park, 82, were held Saturday, Dec. 2 at 3:30 p.m. in the Horner Funeral Home. The Rev. James Nelson officiated at the service and Mrs. Leroy Wendt was vocalist.

Harry Orval Park was born April 18, 1885, the son of Enos and Maggie Kamerling Park on a farm 7 miles southwest of Mechanicsville in Linn township. He was educated in the Linn township school. Mr. Park lived his entire life on the farm where he was born with the exception of the last 2 weeks spent in the Hallmark Nursing Home, Mt. Vernon. He died there on Nov. 30, following an illness of several months.

He was preceded in death by his parents, whom he had cared for until their death, and his sister, Mrs. Edna McKibben. He is survived by several cousins.

Pallbearers were Dale Kohl, Ben Schroeder, Leonard Longerbean, Melvin Andre, Melvin Pauls and Louis Unruh.
