Clarence Man Dies In Kentucky Crash

Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapman Funeral home in Clarence for Fay Roland Hendrick.

The Rev. Calvin Schumacher will officiate at the services and Mrs. Robert Hasselbusch will be the organist. Pallbearers are Harry Carbaugh, Martin Blake, Henry Klatt, Vern Freeman, Reid Thein and Myrl Sylvester. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery.

Mr. Hendrick, 55, a resident of Clarence since January, was killed Monday in Crofton, Ky., when his truck skidded off a rain-slick highway into an embankment.

Mr. Hendrick was born June 12, 1912 in Wolcott, N.Y. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Avon Lodge AFAM, Avon, N.Y. He had been employed by the Matson Trucking Line, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include 2 sisters, Mrs. Elmer Engelking and Mrs. Lura Hoffner, both of Clarence. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
