Final Rites Sunday For Blanche A. Frink, Tipton Pioneer

Blanche Alpen Dean, daughter of Frederick P. and Georgiana Dean, was born in Tipton on December 9, 1863, and died December 20, 1945, at the age of 82 years, eleven days. Her entire life was spent in Tipton with the exception of one year when the family lived in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Mrs. Frink graduated from the Tipton Public Schools in 1880. She attended college at Cedar Falls and later taught in the county school near Tipton. She was a life-long member of the Methodist Church and took an active interest in the work of the church.

On September 8, 1887, she was married to Spencer G. Frink who preceded her in death on October 7, 1943. She is survived by one sister, Lillian A. Dean of Tipton; four children, Helen F. Reuling of Muscatine, Gale K. of Tama, Margery E. of Tipton, and Lillian B. Murray of Athena, Georgia; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held at the Wilson Funeral home in Tipton, Monday afternoon, Dec. 22, 1945, at 2:30. Interment was in the Masonic cemetery.
