Louise Doris Sophia Edler died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Boedeker in Massillon Tp., last Sunday at the age of 71 years 7 mo's and 16 days. Her one son, one daughter, nine grandchildren and five step children and a number of step grand children survive to mourn her demise. She was sick for about only a week. Funeral occurred Tuesday with services at the Evangelical church and interment in the Van Horn cemetery. Rev. Werning conducted the services. A great many friends and neighbors attended the funeral. Deceased was born in Estorf Province, Hannover, Germany, and was married to Fritz Debner in 1854 who died in 1874. She was married again to Fred Edler in 1875, he too was taken away from her by death in 1890. They came to America in 1882 locating near Lowden, and for a while lived right here in Lowden owning property here which they later sold. All here learned to know her as a good and kind old lady. May she rest in peace!
