Mrs. Edward J. Dierksen, 38, of Wilton, died in her home Friday, March 23, following a lingering illness. Meta Steffen was born in Fort Dodge, Ia., July 2,1906, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Steffen. She married Edward J. Dierksen Aug. 15, 1925 in Rockwell City, Ia., and the couple moved to Wilton 18 years ago from Lowden.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Merlyn and a daughter, Erma at home; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Hatfield and Mrs. Esther McCalister, both of Princeton, Ia., and Mrs. Ted Soppeland of Fort Dodge; a brother, Elmer Steffen with the armed forces in England; her father Carl Steffen of Mt. Pleasant and her step-mother, Mrs. Marie Steffen of Wilton.
Funeral rites were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Griffith funeral home and 2 o'clock in the Zion Lutheran church.
