Funeral services for Lloyd L. Barker, 71, were held Sept. 20 at West Branch and Burlington with burial in the Aspen Grove cemetery, Burlington. Mr. Barker died Sept. 18 at the Extended Care center, Iowa City.

Mr. Barker had been associated with his son, Gilbert, in the operation of the Barker Funeral home in West Branch.

Mr. Barker was born in 1896 at Downing, Mo. He married Sally Lucille Penn in 1918. Mr. Barker had lived in Burlington, where he was employed as a Burlington Railroad switchman, from 1925 to 1958.

Mr. Barker is survived by his wife; 2 sons, Gilbert, West Branch, and Kenneth, Burlington; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Doyle, Danville; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Wesley (Katherine) Lauth, Burlington, and 2 brothers, Clarence, Davenport, and Everett, Dallas, Tex.
