Oxford Junction - Funeral services for Henry Otte, Sr., 77, who died Monday at the Kleineck nursing home in Onslow after a long illness, were held today (Thursday, Aug. 15) at St. Mark's Lutheran church in Oxford Junction with Rev. Ben Warrenburg officiating. Burial was in the Lowden cemetery. Pallbearers were Carl Otte, Jr.; Larry Otte, Delbert Hodgden, Dennis Von Sprecken, James Olsen and Jerry Behrle.

He was born May 28, 1891 in Cedar county, the son of Henry and Sophia Kroemer Otte. He married Alma Gade Jan. 7, 1914. They farmed in Cedar county until moving to Oxford Junction in 1941 where he was employed by the Milwaukee railroad until his retirement.

Survivors include 3 sons, Fred and Henry of Lowden and Carl of Oxford Junction; one daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Emma) Hodgden of Oxford Junction, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, one brother, Carl Luettjohann of Swisher and one sister, Mrs. Ann Stoeter of Davenport.
