Final rites for Leo B. Kaster, 65, Lowden, were held at Zion United Church of Christ, Lowden Nov. 25.

Mr. Kaster died enroute to the DeWitt Community hospital Nov. 22 after becoming ill at his home in Lowden.

Mr. Kaster was born at Masonville. He married DeLila Green in 1935. The couple resided for a time in Washington, D.C. They moved to Lowden from Oxford Junction in 1942.

He formerly was an assistant postmaster at Hopkinton, and later managed an ice cream factory at Oxford Junction. After moving to Lowden, he operated the Lowden Locker. He was employed at Oscar Mayer and Co., Davenport, for 15 years until his retirement last spring.

Mr. Kaster is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Carol) Mindham, Mechanicsville; a son, Allen, DeWitt; 2 sisters, Elva, Manchester; Mrs. George (Lodusky) Duncan, Manchester, and a brother, Norman, LaValle, Wis.
