Franz F. Dettman Services Nov. 21

Clarence - Funeral services for Franz F. Dettman, 72, a native of Clarence, were held at Davenport Nov. 21. Burial was in the National cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal, Ill.

Mr. Dettman died Nov. 16 at the Iowa Soldiers home in Marshalltown, following an extended illness.

Mr. Dettman was born in Clarence Nov. 16, 1896 and was married to Bertha Ecklun in Stanwood in 1920. She preceded him in death.

He had been employed at the Farmall Works in Rock Island, Ill. until his retirement. He was a veteran of World War I.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Melvin Hoffman, Milan, Ill. and Mrs. William Carlstrom, Moline, Ill.; 2 sons, Dale, Davenport and Delbert, Richmond, Va.; 10 grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs. Anna Toerber and Mrs. Walter Hein, both of Stanwood and Mrs. Frank Fisher, Clarence and a brother, Louis, Clarence.
