Tipton community, including the faculty and student body of the Tipton school, were saddened Tuesday forenoon by the death of Mrs. Theodore Albaugh after a week's illness from polio. Last Tuesday afternoon, Mrs. Albaugh was taken to University hospital, Iowa City, where she gradually weakened until she passed away Tuesday forenoon.

Mrs. Albaugh was born May 4, 1915, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Mrs. Margaret Ferreter and the late John Ferreter. She graduated in June, 1935, from the elementary education course at Iowa State Teachers college where she was a member of Kappa Delta Pi and Purple Arrow and was also winner of scholastic honors. She taught in the Wellsburg school from 1935-1937 coming to Tipton schools in the fall of 1937 and continued her efficient service in the local school until the time of her demise. She was married to Theodore Albaugh in June, 1942.

Memorial services will be held at the St. Mary's Catholic church in Tipton Thursday morning at 11:00 o'clock, with the Rev. Fr John J. Brickley of Ackley officiating and Fr. Collins assisting. Interment will be in the cemetery at Mechanicsville. The Rosary was recited at the Sheets funeral home Wednesday evening.

Immediate survivors include her husband, Theodore of Tipton, her mother Mrs. Margaret Ferreter of Marion and three brothers, Edward and Richard of Marion and John of California.
