Mrs. Paul Werling 1915-1968

Funeral services for Mrs. Paul Werling, 52, were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Sheets and Son funeral home with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Marlon, Kenneth and William Werling, Allan Rice, David Gibbs and Everett Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Laucamp were in charge of flowers. Mrs. Don Parker was vocalist and Mrs. Irma Crawford organist.

Mrs. Werling died following a heart attack while attending a dance at the Moose hall in Tipton April 13.

The daughter of Ralph and Lillian Applegate Cox, she was born June 11, 1915 near Iowa City and attended the schools of Cosgrove and Iowa City. She was married to Paul Werling March 3, 1940 at Iowa City.

A resident of the Tipton area since 1940, she had lived in Tipton for 22 years. She was a member of the Women of the Moose.

She is survived by her husband, 2 sons, Dennis, at home, and Ronald, Kirksville, Mo.; her mother, Mrs. Lillian Cox, Iowa City; a brother, Robert Cox, Houston, Texas and 3 sisters, Mrs. Jack (Nyleen) Brackett, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Robert (Vida) Colony, Coralville and Mrs. Russell (Nadine) Hoskinson, Tipton.
