Ed W. Miller, 79, Dies Saturday at Mechanicsville

Mechanicsville - Funeral services for Ed W. Miller were held at St. Mary's Catholic church Monday, April 29, at 9:30 a.m., with Rev. P. J. Casey officiating. Mr. Miller died suddenly April 27 at his home.

He was born August 5, 1888, the son of George and Elizabeth Miller. He attended Elk Rural High School in Harrietsville, Ohio and started farming in 1910. He married Mary Fray Russell in Cedar Rapids in 1913 and they farmed until 1954, when he retired and they moved to Mechanicsville to live.

Survivors are his wife; 2 sons, Leo, Tipton, and Howard, Cedar Rapids; a sister, Clara Bronkar, Zanesville, Ohio and 2 brothers, Clarence, Zanesville, Ohio and Isadore, Duncan Falls, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers.

Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery with Horner Funeral Home in charge.
