Cedar County Pioneer Dies at West Liberty

West Liberty, Ia., Sept. 22 -- Funeral services were held this afternoon from the home on north Columbus street for Jonathan Kirby, who died Saturday at the age of 84 years. Mr. Kirby had been a resident of this community for 62 years, and was a native of Morgan county, Ohio. The widow and six children, F. M. Kirby and Mrs. E. C. Kerr of this city, S. I. Kirby of Cleveland, Ohio, W. Glenn Kirby of Mishwaka, Ind., Dr. V. V. Kirby of Des Moines, and Allison Kirby of Cedar Rapids, all of whom were present for the final service, survive. Two sisters, also, survive, Mrs. Ellen Nixon of this city and Mrs. Sarah Pringey of Cumberland.
