Mrs. William Koth, nee Emma Busching was born January 7, 1884, at Clarence, Iowa, daughter of Frederick and Caroline Busching, nee Biere.

She was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Church in Clarence.

On December 1, 1904, she was married to Henry Rixe who passed away in October 1906.

On February 15, 1912, she was married to William Koth who passed away in October 1950.

Mrs. Koth did not enjoy good health since November and entering the hospital at Cedar Rapids where she passed away on January 17, 1959, having reached the age of 75 years and 10 days.

Following the death of her sister the Koth's received into their home Everett and Frederick Oetting.

Mrs. Koth was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Women's Guild.

Survivors are two sisters; Miss Lena Busching, Clarence, Iowa, Mrs. Frieda Lehrman, Stanwood, Iowa, one brother, Fred Biere, Olin, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 21st, 1959 at the St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church with the Rev. E. J. Bowers officiating. The music was furnished by a male quartet with the organist being Miss Diane Bergmann. In charge of the floral tributes were Mrs. Ernest Hasselbusch and Mrs. Henry Von Muenster. Pallbearers were: Paul Rix, Paul Hasselbusch, Glen Tenley, Lloyd Hasselbusch, John Hoffner, and Grover Penningroth.

She was laid to rest in the Clarence cemetery.
