17 April 1903 - The Lowden News

Carl Richmann, son of Fred Richmann, died at their home in Massillon township on Easter Sunday, at the youthful age of 14 years 6 months and 20 days, of inflammation of the bowels. Funeral occurred Wednesday with service at the M. E. church at Massillon and interment in the Massillon cemetery, Rev. Werning of Lowden officiating. Deceased was confirmed just one week before his demise in the Evangelical church of Lowden, having been indisposed about a week before that, he took severely sick the Sunday of his confirmation; at first suffering considerable pain but during his last days his pains apparently subsided and he went quietly to rest.

The solemn truth that all must die and the uncertainty of the allotted time impresses itself most saddest on our mind when the icy hand of death grabs among our youths, and in selecting one who just began to enter the prime of life, causes deep sorrow and pain in the immediate family circle, out of which a beautiful life was taken so suddenly. Deceased leaves to mourn his untimely demise, his parents, three brothers, Henry, Fred and Louis, and two sisters, Mrs. Louise Cassier and Mrs. Minnie Klahn. All sympathise with the bereaved.
