Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1 for Willie Peters, 74, rural Lowden, at Carson's in Maquoketa. Burial was at Mount Hope cemetery, Maquoketa.

Mr. Peters died Aug. 28 at his home of natural causes.

Surviving are a son, William, Lowden; a daughter, Janice Miller, Lowden; 4 sisters, Louise Nicolaisen, Maquoketa; Augusta Scott, Baldwin; Tillie Ehlers, Andrew and Dora Shook, Lake Odessa, Mich.; 6 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
