Henry Herman Charles Kruckenberg, the second youngest son of Mrs. Dorothea Kruckenberg, was born on July 8th, 1910, and died on the date of his birth, on Sunday afternoon, July 8th, 1917, at the age of seven years. He leaves to mourn his early death his bereaved mother, Mrs. Dorothea Kruckenberg, three brothers and one sister, and numerous other relatives.

Henry was a bright, happy little fellow. About three months ago he was taken sick with pneumonia and later removed to the hospital at Cedar Rapids where he was confined for several weeks and everything possible was done, but he improved very slowly. He returned home about two weeks ago and of late seemed to be improving, but he was also suffering with heart trouble and other complications which he bore patiently to the end when death finally claimed him.

Funeral services were held at two o'clock at the home Wednesday afternoon followed by services at the Lutheran church. Rev. J. H. Brammer officiated. The pall bearers were six ** of the deceased: ** Ruprecht, Carl Kruckenberg, Arthur Kroemer, Harold Brammer and Arnold Hein.

Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Brammer and family, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Ilten, Mrs. Fred Rabus and Miss Ida Kruckenberg, all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
