Last rites for Wilbur C. Oldorf, 84, were held at Lisbon Dec. 19, 1988, with the Revs. Jaymee and David Glenn-Burns officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery, Mechanicsville. Pallbearers were Tom Brown, Merle Weber, Jay Hartman, James Dohmen, Ralph Willey and Robert Willett. Elbert White, Vernon Boots, Joseph Gamble and Charles Mulherin were honorary pallbearers. Fran Robinson was organist and Inez Huffman was soloist.

Mr. Oldorf died at Mercy Medical center, Cedar Rapids, Dec. 16.

The son of William and Matilda Groth Oldorf, he was born at Stanwood April 28, 1904. He was married to Mildred Simpson at Springville Aug. 14, 1933.

Mr. Oldorf lived in the Mechanicsville and Martelle areas all his life, where he was a general contractor. He was a member of the United Methodist church, Mechanicsville and Patmos lodge #155, AF & AM, Mechanicsville.

He is survived by his wife; 2 sons, Glenn and Larry, Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Edith Willey, Mechanicsville; 4 grandchildren, Jody Kruckenberg, Clarence; Jo Ann Willey, Mechanicsville; Ann Oldorf, St. Paul, Minn. and Michael Oldorf, Cedar Rapids; a brother, Elmer, Martelle and a sister, Irene Newhard, Anamosa. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth and a sister, Rose.
