Mrs. Katherine Behrend, 64, daughter of Thomas Curley, died at her home in Elmhurst, Ill., Saturday. Services were held in Elmhurst Monday and the remains brought to Clarence Tuesday morning, where prayer services were held at the Chapman Funeral Home with Father F. F. Lawler of St. Mary's church of Tipton officiating. Interment was in the Clarence cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Behrend was born in Clarence and spent her girlhood here. After her marriage to John Behrend she made her home for some time in Tipton.

Surviving her besides her husband are three sons, Lawrence of Clinton and Paul and Jerry of Elmhurst, one sister, Mrs. T. L. Glendenning and one brother Paul both of Clinton, as well as many nieces and nephews.
