Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran church Lowden for Amanda Kruckenberg, 71. She was a retired school teacher and had taught in the Lowden school system for a number of years.

The Rev Earl Elowsky officiated at the service. Mrs Lorenz Hoffmeier was organist and the Mens' Choir sang.

Serving as pallbearers were Arnold Mente, Carl Ruprecht, Herbert Wiebel, Raymond Hein, Martin Kruckenberg, and Herbert Kroemer. Mrs Alice Meyer and Mrs Paul Ahrens were in charge of flowers.

Miss Kruckenberg died Sunday in St Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids.

She was born Feb. 7, 1903 at Lowden to William and Dorothea Mente Kruckenberg. She received her B.A. Degree in elementary education at the University of Iowa. She taught in the Lowden schools for 38 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church and had served as a Sunday school teacher.

Miss Kruckenberg had served as Cancer Crusade chairman in Lowden for several years.

She is survived by two brothers, Ezra of Lowden and Dr. W. G. Kruckenberg of Cedar Rapids.
