Funeral services for Thaddeus Stevens, 85, Stanwood, were held Nov. 26 at the Chapman Funeral Home with burial in the Stanwood Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Thomsen officiated with Mrs. James Sawyer Jr., organist. He died at his home Nov. 25.
He was born Nov. 9, 1890 at Cromwell, the son of Frank and Loretta Munson Stevens and married to Mae Hollister on June 20, 1917 at Denison. He was a retired railroad agent for the Chicago Northwestern.
Survivors are a daughter, Beverly Jane King, Stanwood, and a son, Thad, Waukegan, Ill.; 3 grandchildren and a sister, Zoa Stevens, Zion, Ill.
