Last rites were held Monday afternoon in St John church for Mrs Ida Rix, 82. The Rev Calvin Schumacher was in charge. Mrs Robert Hasselbusch was organist and Henry Biere, soloist. Burial was in St John Cemetery. Luverne McVay, Norman Biere, Louis Hillman, Richard Kemmann, Raymond Biere and Robert Rix served as pallbearers. Mrs McVay and Mrs Kemmann had charge of flowers.

Mrs Rix died Friday in St Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids where she had been a patient for several weeks.

Ida Hillman was born in Cedar County on Dec. 23, 1888. She married William Rix at Wheatland in 1914. The couple farmed northeast of Clarence before retiring and moving to Clarence. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs Emma Schneckloth, Davenport and Mrs Alma Rix of Clarence and one brother, Carl Hillman of Davenport.
