Last rites are being held this afternoon for Mrs Emma Klahn, 80 in Trinity Lutheran Church, here. The Rev Earl Elowsky is officiating. Mrs Lorenz Hoffmeier is organist. Burial will be in the Massillon cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Pete Skinner, Lyle Raiber, Vernon Bright, Harold Toerber, Harold Eves and Earl Busch.
Mrs Klahn died in the Jackson County Public hospital, Maquoketa on Monday where she had been a patient for nine days. She had been in failing health for some time.
Emma Louise Klahn was born July 2, 1890 in Clarence. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Wilhelmine Harmel. She was married to Emil Klahn on Feb. 20, 1913. She had lived in the Massillon area the past 25 years.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister and a brother.
