An Obit for Lida Ross March 28 1921: Mrs Lida Ross, wife of Max Ross, well known member of the Atlantic Postoffice force, died at 3 oclock this morning at the family home in Highland Place, following an illness of two weeks with a complication of diseases. She was 39 years of age. The death of Mrs ross came as a distinct shock to her acquaintaces in the city. Aside from her more intimiate frinds, few were aware she was seriously ill. for the last week, however, it was known to her family Mrs ross could not recover.
Mrs ross was born in Middleburg, PA., on June 13 1882, her parents being J W Reese and wife. While a girl the daughter came west and for a number of years made her home with her uncle, the late A H F Ziegler, Anita attorney. she became a graduate nurse and followed that work until her marriage to Mr Ross Sept 16, 1909.
Mrs Ross was a member of the congregational church and for a number of years was a faithful teacher in the primary dept of the SS. She taught her class for the last time three weeks ago.
Besides her husband, Mrs ross is survived by two sons, George william, aged 10, and Jay wesley aged 8. her mother also survives her home being at Sellins Grove, PA. there are three sisters and two brothers. they are Mrs Frank T Kalas of Baltimore MD., Mrs Geo Herrington and Mrs H T Walker of Philadelphia, william Reese of Bedford Springs PA., and Herman Reese whose home is in New Jersey.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 230 at the congregational church, the pastor, the Rev James E ball officiating. Burial will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
