I checked the 1980 Cass County History book. In the Franklin Township section there's an article titled "United Methodist Church" which indicates:

"In 1882, the Wiota Circuit included Wiota Church, Finch Schoolhouse, Grove City Church, and Five Mile Grove Church. In 1886, Highland Church as added. In 1900, Grove City was dropped and Gold Hill added."

So apparently Gold Hill was a Methodist Church in the Wiota area.

I checked the Cass Co. 1906 Compendium of History & Biography and couldn't find any reference at all to Gold Hill. I'll check some old atlases to see if I can find anything else.
