I don't have any experience with the records for Woodward State Hospital, but I'd suggest you try contacting the IAGenWeb Boone County Coordinator directly and ask if she has any knowledge. Since Woodward State Hospital is located north of Woodward in Boone County, she most likely has had inquiries before and may have some knowledge about what is or isn't available.

The Boone County Coordinator is Tina Keister and there is a clickable link to her email address on the main Boone County IAGenweb page at iagenweb.org/boone.
