The Atlantic paper is on microfilm back to sometime in 1874 (I'm going by memory, from my own family research - newspaper archives from prior to 1874 were destroyed by fire back in the 1870's). The microfilm is available in the Genealogy Room in the Atlantic Public Libray, and is probably also available via your local LDS Family History Center.

The Cass County Genealogical Society maintains an obituary card file in the Geneaology Room also. Since you have an exact date you could try contacting the CCGS to see if they would do a lookup in their obituary file and/or on the newspaper microfilm. I believe they charge a small fee for their time, but the cost to do a lookup like this should be fairly minimal. The CCGS email address can be found on their web page, which is availabe on the Cass County IAGenWeb site.

Regarding the Lincoln Township Cemetery the 1980 History of Cass County states "No burials have occurred here in recent years." That was in 1980, which is 30 years ago; I don't know if there have been any burials there since 1980.
